Sudapet

The Sudan National Petroleum Corporation ( Sudapet ) is a state-owned oil company of Sudan.

The company was founded in 1997 and is owned 100 % by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

Currently (as of 2006) Sudapet itself is not active in the oil industry operates, but serves only the participation of the Sudanese government on oil revenues. However, there are within the government and the board of the company aspirations, gradually the resources and techniques for independent exploration and production to acquire and develop Sudapet a full-fledged oil company.
