Sugar (American band)

Sugar was an American alternative rock band that was founded in 1992 by former Hüsker Dü - guitarist and singer Bob Mould and existed until 1995.

Band History

After the 1988 breakup of the band Hüsker Dü made ​​two solo albums and founded Bob Mould, along with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis in 1992, the band Sugar. Their first album, Copper Blue was released the same year and was a great success. It was selected by the New Musical Express for the "Album of the Year" and was awarded a gold record. The music video for the single If I Can not Change Your Mind was frequently seen on MTV.

Appeared in 1993 Beaster, an EP of songs that were recorded on the recording sessions of Copper Blue, and had a darker tone than the previous release. After a failed attempt to record a second album, the band came together in the spring of 1994 to their next album, File Under: Easy Listening receive.
