Sulayhid dynasty

The Sulaihiden, Arabic بنو صليح, DMG Banū Ṣulaiḥ, were a Shi'ite dynasty in Yemen ( 1047-1138 ).

History of Sulaihiden

Having already 881 the first missionaries of the Fatimid had come to Yemen, their teaching spread at the beginning of the 10th century among the tribes of the mountains. After his assassination by members of the Nadschahiden his son Al- Mukarram Ahmad succeeded to the throne.
