Suleiman Bilali

Suleiman Wanjau Bilali ( born June 5, 1976) is a Kenyan amateur boxer in the light flyweight ( up to 48 kg). Bilali Kenya has represented at numerous international tournaments.

Career

At the Olympic Games in 2000, he retired against the Spaniard Rafael Lozano with 10:11 in the quarter- finals. Two years later, at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, he lost early on against the Indians Ali Qamar. He had his first major success when he won the All Africa Games 2003. Then he fell into a deep form and was not party to the 2004 Olympic Games still at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

In 2007 he came back, won the All African Games with a final victory over Manyo Plange and qualified then also with the move into the quarterfinals of the box world championships in 2007 in Chicago for the 2008 Olympic Games.
