Manyo Plange

Manyo Plange (born 18 January 1988) is a Ghanaian boxer in the weight category Light Flyweight ( up to 48 kg), which in 2007 won the silver medal at the All Africa Games and 2008 participated in the Summer Olympics.

Career

His first international men's competition contested Plange at the Commonwealth Games in 2006, when he penetrated into the second round of the tournament, but then lost to a Welsh boxer. In the All Africa Games 2007, he then penetrated even to the finals, had here but the far more experienced Suleiman Bilali beaten. The taking place in the same year the World Championships in Chicago he joined in the weight class flyweight ( to 51 kg), but lost in the first battle against the Chinese Yang Bo.

The first African Olympic Qualification tournament in Algiers, he joined again in the light flyweight. He won against Thomas Essomba, then lost in the semifinals against the Namibians Japheth Uutoni, but was able to put against the Algerians Hamoud Boubraouet, thereby qualifying for the 2008 Summer Olympics secured in the fight for 3rd place.
