Supply-Chain Council

The Supply - Chain Council (SCC ) is an independent, non- gewinnorierte organization that has taken up the development of the Supply Chain Operation Reference Model.

The Supply - Chain Council was established in 1996 by Rabin Todd & McGrath Pittiglio ( PRTM ) and AMR Research, founded two consulting firms from Boston,. Initially there was the SCC of 69 members, now this number amounts to over 1000 members. These are mostly companies from different industries and stages of the value chain. The focus is on the practical experience, although there are also scientific members, such as universities, among them.

The goal of the Supply - Chain Council lies in the efficient handling of the value chain. So was this all about self-developed and standardized SCOR model for companies in the supply chain management to increase efficiency.
