Amendments to Supreme Commander

Resources system

The resource system has been simplified in Supreme Commander 2: In contrast to the income-expenditure ratio in Part 1, the resource system has been adapted to the current standard real-time strategy games. This means that resources in the construction will be deducted directly from the beginning, the construction accordingly in the course does not cost any more resources. The storage buildings are removed, since the memory is very large in Supreme Commander 2. Mass extractors continue to be built on given areas. The extractors are no longer upgraded directly but via the central research tree. The recycling of the wreck is still possible.

Control & Interface

The user interface in Supreme Commander 2 has remained largely the same, also links with the Shift key is still possible and are shown as colored lines on the map.

Also, there is again the revolutionary "Strategic Zoom", which allows the player to see the whole map and thus to organize several battles simultaneously.

Additionally, you can rotate the view. When zooming out the view at Supreme Commander 2 is automatically reset back to the North position, which facilitates the required orientation in the running game.

Another innovation over its predecessor is the " Attack Painting". It is possible while holding the right mouse button to draw a red circle over enemy units in order to mark them as an attack target.
