Supreme Court Police

Founded in 1949, Supreme Court of the United States Police is a small police agency of the United States at the federal level, in Washington, DC is located. It consists of 125 employees.

Task is to ensure the safety of the Supreme Court of the United States ( U.S. Supreme Court ). The police who object protection and ensure the safety of staff and visitors on the buildings and its environment. It also supports visitors.

There are the following organizational units: Uniformed Services ( Uniformed Services), protection services ( protective services ), crisis services ( Threat Assessment Unit ), background investigations ( Background Investigation Unit), Guard of Honor ( Honor Guard ), the main forces of engagement ( Key Response Squad ), as well as dangerous and decommission ( HazMat / Bomb response).

The law enforcement officials are trained centrally at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, headquartered in Glynco (Georgia ).
