Surveillance court

Criminal enforcement dishes (it. Tribunale di sorveglianza, dt literally: "Monitoring court " ) are making special dishes that decisions under the Criminal enforcement in Italy. Your tasks with which the punishment imposed chambers are compared at the regional courts in Germany.

Jurisdiction

The Italian criminal enforcement jurisdiction ( Magistratura di sorveglianza ) is responsible for monitoring the enforcement of sentences. You make decisions in the field of prison sentences and alternative sanctions. This includes decisions on the enforcement easing, to an open prison to parole, disciplinary measures, rewards and individual rehabilitation programs. It reports to the Ministry of Justice about the prison conditions and other operations in the correctional facilities and decide on complaints against the institutions.

In the jurisdictions of the Courts of Appeal ( Corte d' Appello, Higher Regional Court ), there is in each case a penalty enforcement court. There are also in the judicial district other subsidiary criminal enforcement agencies ( Ufficio di sorveglianza ). The latter are formed in district courts, provided that there are districts in their correctional facilities.

The criminal enforcement courts of first instance in all matters that are not the responsibility of the subordinate criminal enforcement bodies. For the latter, the criminal enforcement courts are the court of appeal. The Court of Cassation in Rome can examine decisions of the criminal courts for errors of law enforcement and cancel if necessary.

Criminal enforcement courts are collegial. The Chamber composed of two professional judges, one of which comes from the competent subordinate criminal enforcement authority, and two experts from the fields of psychology, social work, education or clinical psychiatry and criminology, as well as from faculty of Criminal Justice. The subordinate criminal enforcement bodies consist of one or more professional judges who decide each case as a single judge.
