Susan Deacon

Susan Deacon ( born 1964 in Musselburgh ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party. In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 and 2003 she won as a direct candidate each clearly the mandate in the constituency of Edinburgh East and Musselburgh. At the 2007 parliamentary elections Deacon no longer went to. Her successor Norman Murray lost the constituency to Kenny MacAskill of the Scottish National Party (SNP ). Between 1999 and 2001, Deacon held the ministerial portfolios of Health and Welfare.
