Susan McFadden

Susan McFadden ( born February 8, 1983 in Artane, County Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish actress and singer. She became famous in the role of Sandy in the musical Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre and as Elle Woods in the musical Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End.

Early years

Susan McFadden was born in Dublin, the daughter of Mairead and Brendan. She is the younger sister of former Westlife member Brian McFadden -.

Career

McFadden has completed the Billie Barry Stage School in Dublin. Before she became a part of Grease Is the World, she traveled to many Irish musicians (including June Rodgers ) as the support. In Daniel O'Donnell's Rock & Roll show tour and DVD they must be seen as one of the dancers. She played the role of Kathy in the Irish production of Singin 'in the Rain in 2004. The show played at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and in the Everyman Palace Theatre in Cork.

She has won the reality TV show by ITV Grease Is the Word. Due to this success, she played the female lead Sandy in Grease Danny Bayne in the West End Theatre from August 2007.

In 2008, McFadden took two songs for the CD Act One - Songs from the Musicals on of Alexander S. Bermange. On this album are 20 new recordings by 26 West End stars. The CD was released in November 2008 by Dress Circle Records.

McFadden got in the original West End cast of the musical Legally Blonde the role of Elle Woods. The production played at the Savoy Theatre. The response to this musical was exclusively positive. From 25 October, she was the understudy, which occurred on Monday and Tuesday. As of January 10, 2011, she played the role as the first cast. On 9 July 2011, she left the theater. She was nominated for the What's on Stage Award in the category " Best Takeover".

McFadden sang with Ben Morris and Séan Carey in the finale of RTÉ Ones Fame: The Musical on Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Dublin

Since January 5, 2012 McFadden is part of the group Celtic Woman as a replacement for Lisa Kelly, who had left the group because of motherhood. Her first appearance with the group they had in February 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee, for the start of their " Believe " North American tour, which continues to sit with Europe, Australia and South Africa tours.
