Suzanne Doucet

Suzanne Doucet ( born August 27, 1944 in Tübingen ) is a German singer, composer and producer.

Life and work

Doucet went in Meersburg on Lake Constance, in Frankfurt, Heidelberg and Hamburg to school, attended a college in Munich and the Sorbonne in Paris. Her mother and grandmother, who had a role in Metropolis by Fritz Lang, were both named Helen of Münchshofen and were actresses. Her father, Dr. Friedrich- Wilhelm Doucet, was a student of Carl Gustav Jung and the author of numerous books on dream interpretation, knowledge of human nature and parapsychology. Doucet manages the heritage of the writer and later her mother's partner, Fred of Hoerschelmann.

Doucet worked as a technical illustrator and painter in Ascona ( Switzerland ), before they had 1964 first success as a pop singer, later as an actress and television presenter. She hosted the show, inter alia, 4-3-2-1 Hot & Sweet ( 1968-70 with Ilja Richter, ZDF ) and hits à gogo ( 1967-73, German and Swiss Television ) and starred in several television series with.

From the late 1960s produced Doucet their LPs Red like Ruby ( with Rio Gregory ) and travel fever itself, but also worked with Abi Ofarim, Mike Brant, Tamas Haki, Margot Werner and others for "Prom Music " in Munich. In 1980 she founded her own record label in 1983 and moved to the United States. There, she wrote and produced over 50 New Age instrumental albums. In the United States it is regarded as a pioneer in the genre.
