Svante Stockselius

Stig Svante Stockselius ( born December 31, 1955 in Hudiksvall, Sweden) is a Swedish journalist and television producer, who was best known in his role as executive producer and supervisor of the Euro Vision Song Contest and the Junior Euro Song Contest.

Life

Svante Stockselius grew up in Ockelbo, a small town in Sweden on. As a journalist he worked for 16 years for the Stockholm newspaper Expressen.

As head of entertainment of the Swedish television channel Sveriges Television he organized in 2000 the Euro Vision Song Contest in Stockholm. He also designed the successful Swedish Melodifestivalen in 2002, the preliminary decision.

In 2002, he supported the Estonian organizers to implement the Euro Vision Song Contest 2002. In 2002, he moved to the private channel TV4. From 2003 to 2010 he worked as a supervisor for the Euro Vision Song Contest. On 30 August 2010, he announced his resignation.
