Svartsot

Svartsot is a company incorporated in Randers 2005 Danish folk metal band. Svartsot combined death and black metal with modern metal styles and Nordic folk music.

History

The band was formed from the remnants of the band Skoll 2005. Svartsot means " black fever " in older Danish. The band started two demos in 2005 ( Svundne Tider ) and 2006 ( Tvende Ravne ). Then in 2007 a ​​contract was signed with the label Napalm Records, where they released their first album Ravnenes saga. In 2008, the band launched a tour with the famous bands Alestorm and Týr.

In December 2008, left all the band members, except Cristoffer JS Frederiksen and Stewart Lewis, because of disagreements, mostly about the next album, the band. This then put the band on new, without having to cancel a single concert.

2009, the album was released Mulmets Viser ( "Songs of Darkness" ) with many newly written songs. 2011 is the third studio album was Maledictus Eris ( " Cursed shalt thou be " ) published.
