Svein Krøvel

Svein krovel (* May 12, 1946; † 29 December 2011) was a Norwegian cameraman.

Life

Svein krovel was born the son of a musician and decided early on the basis of financially insecure life of his father for a career in the arts, which is why he wanted to be an engineer originally. He visited then a technical school, where he was trained as a structural engineer. During an internship in Voldsløkka he decided against that career, however, and tried, after consultation with his father, in various artistic crafts, before ending up at the camera beings. Therefore he attended from 1968, the photo -og dokumentärfilmskolan in Stockholm and learned under the " very strict " photographer Christer Strömholm his craft. Already during his studies krovel commuted between Stockholm and Oslo, and worked as a camera assistant.

After krovel debuted the forstenede skog as the main cinematographer with the drama published in 1976 Heksene fra, he worked with, among others, with well-known directors such as Knut Erik Jensen, Torun Lian and Petter Næss. His internationally known works are Elling, tzatziki - Friends Forever and Mozart and the Whale.
