Svetozar Stojanović

Svetozar Stojanović ( born 1931 in Kragujevac; † 7, 2010 in Belgrade ) was a Yugoslavian or Serbian philosopher.

He studied philosophy at the University of Belgrade, where he received his doctorate in 1962. He was a member of the practice group and a professor of philosophy at the University of Belgrade, of which he and seven other lecturers were removed in 1975 for political reasons. From 1981 he was a member of the Institut za filozofiju i društvenu teoriju (Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory ) in Belgrade. 1992/93 he was an advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Dobrica Cosic. He was an opponent of Slobodan Milošević and was named after his overthrow by Vojislav Kostunica, a member of the Komisije za istinu i pomirenje ( Commission for Truth and Reconciliation ), but this was resolved soon.
