Find out more

After the great success of the previous album Stabbing the Drama and the departure of Peter Wichers Urgitarristen there was uncertainty whether Soilwork were able to maintain their level. On this album, wrote mainly Ola Frenning the guitar parts. It was up to the vocal parts, included in the Not Quite Studios, Helsingborg. The vocal parts were produced by Devin Townsend. The album is considered to be largest ever commercial success of the band, it was the first time place in the U.S. charts. It was also shipped with an additional DVD.

Reception

On Thom Jurek wrote Allmusic.com, Sworn to a Great Divide feels like the " natural extension " of albums like Stabbing the Drama. But the heavy, almost orchestral sound destroy something the " heaviness " of earlier publications such as Natural Born Chaos. But there was no reason to complain about the album. Jurek rated it three and half out of five stars.
