Sy Barry

Seymour " Sy " Barry ( born March 12, 1928 in New York City, New York) is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

Barry, younger brother of comic artist Dan Barry, attended after completion of the New York School of Art, the Art Students League of New York and working as an assistant for his brother. He then worked freelance for several publishers, for which he worked mainly as Inker. After the death of Wilson McCoy in 1961, Barry was from King Features Syndicate entrusted with the task of continuing the comic book Phantom, what he did until his retirement in 1995.
