Sybil B. G. Eysenck

Sybil Bianca Giulietta Eysenck; born Sibylle Bianca Giulietta Rostal ( born March 15, 1927 in Vienna) is a British personality psychologist and widow of the famous personality psychologists Hans Jürgen Eysenck, with whom she has worked. Their son, Michael W. Eysenck is also a psychologist.

Life

Sybil was born in 1927 as the daughter of the violinist Max Rostal and Sela maid in Vienna. In 1934 she went with her parents into exile in Great Britain and in 1946 naturalized there.

Together with Hans Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, she developed the Junior Eysenck, and later the Personality Inventory for which it is responsible.

She is currently (besides Philip A. Vernon ) editor in chief of the company founded by her husband and appearing at Elsevier journal Personality and Individual Differences and lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and board member.
