Sydney Evans

Clifton Sydney " Sid " Evans ( * 1881 in Aldermaston, † January 8, 1927 in Reading ) was a British boxer in the heavyweight division and silver medalist of the Olympic Summer Games 1908 in London.

The boxing competitions of the Olympic resembled English championships with foreign participation; 33 of the 42 participants were from the UK. Evans defeated his countrymen Albert Ireton and Frederick Parks and pulled as to the final, where he lost to Albert Oldman and thus reached # 2.
