The Allianz Stadium is a rugby and football stadium in Sydney, Australia. The former Sydney Football Stadium was built on the site of the old Sydney Sports Ground as the first " rectangular stadium" in Sydney in 1988. At first it was mainly used as a venue for rugby league games, today rugby union and football is played there but.

It was built as an addition to the Sydney Cricket Ground in the immediate vicinity, since the local oval pitch is less suitable for sports such as football or rugby.

The Sydney Football Stadium is the home stadium of the following teams:

At its opening, the stadium had 41,159 seats, now the capacity is 45,500 seats. The attendance record is 43,967, achieved in 1993 with the qualifying match for the FIFA World Cup 1994 between Australia and Argentina.

2002, a sponsorship agreement with Aussie Home Loans was completed and renamed the stadium of Sydney Football Stadium in Aussie Stadium. After the expiry of the contract in 2007, the stadium was called again Sydney Football Stadium. End of February 2012 the stadium received by the Allianz Group a new name and now bears the name Allianz Stadium.
