Sylvia Jackson

Sylvia Jackson ( born 1946 ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 Jackson ran as candidate of the Labour Party in the constituency of Stirling. She won the direct mandate well before the candidate SNP. and moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament. In the parliamentary elections in 2003 she defended her constituency, but lost in the general election of 2007, the majority of the candidate SNP, Bruce Crawford. At the 2011 parliamentary elections Jackson was not approached.

Jackson studied chemistry at the University of Hull, graduating with a bachelor's degree. She received her PhD at the University of Stirling. Jackson worked as a teacher and lecturer in the sequence.
