Sylvie Daigle

Sylvie Daigle ( born December 1, 1962 in Sherbrooke, Quebec ) is a former Canadian speed skater who won their greatest successes in the short track speed skating.

On the long course Sylvie Daigle was on the 500 - meter track at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid 19. Four years later, in 1984 in Sarajevo, she stepped up to three times, the best placement was ranked 20 on the 500 - meter track.

On the short course Sylvie Daigle was considerably more successful. It was in the four-way battle in 1979 and 1983 World Champion. 1988, 1989 and 1990, she won three times in a row the title in the four-way battle. At the 1988 Olympics in Calgary short track speed skating was included as a demonstration event. Daigle won the 1500 meters, was second over 1000 meters and 3000 meters and fourth over 500 meters. In the relay, they finished third.
