Sylwester Czereszewski

Sylwester Czereszewski ( born October 4, 1971 in Gołdap, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Career

Sylwester Czereszewski came in 1989 as a teenager to Stomil Olsztyn (now OKS 1945 Olsztyn ) for which he also made ​​his debut in 1994 in the Ekstraklasa. In his first first league season, he completed all 34 games and scored 7 goals. Overall, he played three Erstligasaisons for Stomil Olsztyn, before joining the Polish Legia Warszawa top club in 1997. With Legia he won all his titles. 1997/98 was Czereszewski (along with two other players ) with 14 goals Polish scorer. He was loaned for six months at the Chinese club Jiangsu Shuntian 2001. After his return to Poland he was still playing for Lech Poznań, Górnik Łęczna and Odra Wodzisław.

Czereszewski played 23 times for the Polish national football team and scored 4 goals. However, he never took part in a European Championship or World Cup.

After the 2005/ 06 season the Pole finished his active career as a player.
