Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Jagdalpur

The Diocese of Jagdalpur (Latin: Dioecesis Iagdalpurensis ) is a diocese of the united with the Roman Catholic Church Syro - Malabar Church, based in Jagdalpur in India.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded the Apostolic Exarchate of Jagdalpur on March 23, 1972, the Apostolic Constitution Indorum gentes historia out of territory of the Apostolic Prefecture of Raipur.

With the Apostolic Constitution Nobismet ipsis it was raised on February 26, 1977 Eparchy and the Archdiocese of Bhopal assumed as suffragan. On 11 November 2002 it became a part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Raipur.
