Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally

The diocese Kanjirapally (Latin: Dioecesis Kanirapallensis ) is a diocese of the united with the Roman Catholic Church Syro - Malabar Church, based in Kanjirapally in India. It includes the districts of Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta in the Indian state of Kerala.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Nos Beati on February 26, 1977 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Palai and archeparchy Changanacherry, where there was also a suffragan.
