Szczupliny

Szczupliny [ ʃʧupl inɨ ʲ ] ( German: Sczuplienen ) is a town in the municipality Rybno in Poland. It is located 30 km west of the city Nidzica ( Neidenburg ) on the shaft and is owned by the powiat Działdowski, Warmian -Masurian on.

History

The first documentary mention of the place on August 4, 1338th A church existed in the village before the Reformation. To the evangelical parish also included the locations: Neudorf, Klyn, Prussia, Wansen. Sczuplienen was a branch parish of Usdau ( today Polish: Uzdowo ).

The place belonged to the district Neidenburg in East Prussia. On January 17, 1920, the town was Polish as a result of the Versailles Treaty without a referendum. In September 1939, during the Second World War German again and then occupied on 18 January 1945 by Russian troops, who later gave the village to Poland.
