Szikszó
Szikszó ( German: Sixau ) is a town in Borsod -Abaúj -Zemplén.
Geographical Location
Szikszó lies in northern Hungary, 15 kilometers from county capital Miskolc. The nearest town Ózd is about 15 km from Szikszó.
History
In the wake of the Hungarian Revolution 1848/49, it came on 28 December 1848 Battle of Szikszó in which the imperial- royal troops under Franz Schlik to Bassano and white churches against Hungarian revolutionary troops were victorious.
