Tacchini (crater)

Tacchini is an impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front, on the northern edge of Mare Smythii, northeast of the crater Schubert. The crater is heavily eroded and especially the north-east part of the wall is nearly leveled.

The crater was officially named in 1973 by the IAU after the Italian astronomer Pietro Tacchini.
