Taddea Visconti

Taddea Visconti (c. 1352; † September 28, 1381 ), one of the hundred thousand guilders daughters from the hustle and Mr. Bernabo Visconti, was from 1367 to her death as the wife of Stephen III. Duchess of Bavaria.

Life

Taddea was born around 1352 as one of at least 15 children Bernabo Visconti. When the Bavarian dukes allied with her father in 1365, this alliance was sealed by a double engagement: On August 12, 1365 became engaged in Milan Taddea and Stephen III. of Bavaria and her younger brother Marco and Stephen niece Elizabeth, the four year old daughter of his brother Frederick.
