Tadeusz Tomaszewski

Tadeusz Tomaszewski ( born February 21, 1959 in Niechanowo ) is a Polish politician and since 1993 member of the Sejm in the I, II, III. , IV, V, VI and VII legislature.

Since 1972 he was a functionary of the Union of People's sports groups, in the years 1974 to 1994 he was a member of the Polish Socialist Youth League and also worked in Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ). From 1984 to 1988 and from 1989 to 1990 he was a town councilor of Niechanowo from 1989 to 1990 he sat in the Woiewodschafts National Council in Poznań. At the beginning of the 1990s he served on the boards of several private companies. From 1990 to 1999 he belonged to the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP ) that in 1999 he became a member of the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD). From 1998 to 2000 he was a deputy in the Parliament of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. In 2000, he earned a degree the Academy of Social Sciences in Poznan.

1993, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2007 and 2011, he won each for the SLD elected to the Sejm. In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was for the electoral district of Konin with 23 755 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for social policy and family as well as sports.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
