Tadjou Salou

Tadjou Salou ( born December 24, 1974 in Lomé; † April 2, 2007 ) was a Togolese football player and the younger brother of Bachirou Salou.

Career

Salou began his career in the early 1990s, the Togolese Association Association sportive Armée de Dieu. In 1992 he moved to Club Africain Tunis, with whom he Tunisian champion and cup winner in 1992. In 1995 he won with the team the Arab Cup Winners' Cup. In 1996 he moved to Servette Geneva, with whom in 1999 he was Swiss champion. Between 2001 and 2004 he played for the Geneva Étoile Carouge city rivals FC. For the season 2004 /05 he moved back to his home to AS Douanes de Lome. In 2006 he retired from professional football, as he had been struggling with a serious illness. At this he died eventually on 2 April 2007 in his home town of Lome.

National

With the Togolese national football team he took in 1998, 2000 and 2002 at an African Cup of part. He was also for some time the captain of the Togolese national football team, but was not considered for the squad of World Cup 2006 by coach Otto Pfister.
