Tajik Air

Tajik Air ( Tajikistan Airlines earlier ) is a Tajik airline based in Dushanbe and based on the Dushanbe airport.

History

The airline was founded on September 3, 1924, took its first flight from Bukhara to Dushanbe by a Junkers F 13. In 2007 it changed its name in Tajik Air and is currently the flag carrier of the country.

Objectives

Tajik Air primarily serves regional targets east of Europe. In Europe, only the airport Ataturk is served. Depending on the weather - - In the Tajikistan Khujand airport and be the Khorog airport served by Dushanbe. Incidents

• On June 17, 1993 41 people died when an Antonov An-26 of Tajikistan Airlines on the flight from Batumi in Georgia to Baku in Azerbaijan fell into turbulence and crashed in Georgia.
