Takuya Kurosawa

Takuya Kurosawa (Japanese黒 泽 琢 弥, Takuya Kurosawa, born June 7, 1962 in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese racing driver.

He rode from 1988 to 1989 in the Japanese Formula 3 from 1990 to 1995 in the Japanese Formula 3000 and from 1994 to 1999 the JGTC series. In addition, he participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 and finished tenth. Through sponsorship support he managed in 2000 to enter the Champ Car series, where he drove for Dale Coyne Racing. He started in eight races, taking the 12th place achieved his best result in Detroit. When he led seven laps the race in Long Beach, he was the first Japanese to have managed this in a Champ Car race. The next three years he went back in the JGTC and 2004 in the Super Taikyu series. Currently he drives a Porsche Boxster for Arktech Motorsports in the Super GT.

He is the son of Motoharu Kurosawa, editor of " Best Motoring ", a Japanese automotive magazine. His younger brothers Haruki and Tsubasa are also racers.
