Talbot (crater)

12:36

Talbot is an impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front page, in the plane of Mare Smythii, southeast of the crater Haldane and west of Runge. The crater is very flat, as largely flooded by lavas of Mare.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 after the British astronomer and pioneer of photography William Henry Fox Talbot.
