Taminga
Taminga is a white grape variety. The new variety was introduced by the Horticultural Research Station of CSRI in Merbein in Victoria, Australia in 1970. It is a crossroads of sorts Planta Fina de Pedralba, Sultana and red Traminer. The breeder of the variety was Alan J. Antcliff.
The Taminga was bred for very warm climates. These conditions are common in Victoria, Australia. Even under these conditions the species still retains a sufficient acid and has a slight muscat flavor.
