Tanzania women's national football team
The Tanzanian national football team of women representing Tanzania in international women's football. The national team belongs to the set up in 2006 Tanzania Women Football Association ( TWFA ) and is under the Tanzania Football Federation.
The first competitive games graduated from the team at the 2002 African Cup of Nations Qualifications for 2002 and the 2003 World Cup, but failed in two qualifications. Since then, they tried unsuccessfully in the Africa Cup Qualifiers 2004, 2006 and 2008, and in qualifying for the 2007 World Cup and consequently took not joined any international tournament.
The team is, according to the FIFA World Ranking of the weakest teams in the world. Previously they could only win against Eritrea, Ethiopia and Botswana. In 2010, Tanzania was the first time for the Africa Women's Championship qualifying, but dropped out after the first round of.
