The Tapa (Estonian Tapa lennuväli ) Airport is 3 km from the Estonian town of Tapa ( German taps) away.

During the Cold War Tapa was a Soviet military airfield. He was the home base of the 656th interceptor unit of the Soviet Air Force. On his aircraft were based MiG -23.

Today the plant from flight club Nurmsi ( Nurmsi lennuklubi ) is operated. The airport is owned by the Estonian Ministry of Defence.
