Tapio Laukkanen
Tapio Laukkanen ( born September 23, 1969 in Lahti ) is a Finnish rally driver.
Career
Laukkanen launched at the Rally Finland in 1994 for the first time in a run of the World Rally Championship. In a Mitsubishi Galant VR -4 (Group N) he left there to engine damage. In the 1995 season he moved into a group A vehicle and reached in the RAC Rally with the twelfth overall for the first time a placement in a World Championship race. Over the next four years he competed in a total of ten world championship races without getting into the points. In 2000 he went with three rallies at the start. At the Rally Australia, he finished with the fifth overall for the first and only time a place in the points. For the other two rallies of the same year he left. Up to end of his career in 2006, he still competed in four other World Cup races in which he, however, could not increase its success.
