Taproot (band)

Taproot is an American band that is usually associated with the genre nu metal and post-grunge. The group is from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Band History

The band was offered soon after the founding of Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst a recording contract with his label Interscope Records. However, the contract did not materialize and Taproot released their debut album Poison in 2000 on Atlantic Records. The plant reached the Billboard 200, where it came to number 160.

With the second album, Welcome, which was released in 2002, the band achieved a breakthrough in the mainstream with a top 20 ranking in the U.S. charts.

In August 2005, the album Blue -Sky Research appeared. The band has this worked with Billy Corgan, Jonah Matranga and Stephen Carpenter ( Deftones ), creating a total of 80 song ideas.

In the summer of 2006, the group split from their label. In September 2008, then the latest album in the Velvet Hammer Music and Management Group was published - Our Long Road Home.

Shortly after the publication of Our Long Road Home was drummer and founding member Jarrod Montague be disembarking known. He was replaced by longtime friend of the band Nick Fredell.

In May 2010, the album Plead the Fifth appeared. First Video Fractured ( Everything I Said What True) was published. 2012, she was presented latest album "The Episodes ".
