Tapsa

The temple Tapsa ( Kor. 탑사 ​​) is a pagoda temple and is located at the foot of Maysan in Maysan Provincial Park, Jinan County, Jeollabuk -do.

The Hermit Gap Yi -yong (1860-1957) came at the age of 25 years for Maysan in order to pursue the meditation here can. Over the next decades he built around 120 stone pagodas, without mortar or a similar fastening material. The stone formations, some of which have a height of 10 meters, he built without technical aids. The pagodas withstand all wind and weather until today.
