Tara Air

Tara Air is a Nepalese airline. It was founded in October 2009 as a subsidiary of Yeti Airlines.

Destinations

Tara Air flying from Kathmandu to destinations across Nepal. Similarly, there are links on some other routes in Nepal.

Fleet

With the founding eight STOL aircraft were taken over by Yeti Airlines. Two Pilatus PC -6 were submitted. As of August 2013 the fleet of Tara Air is composed of seven aircraft:

  • 5 de Havilland Canada DHC- 6-300
  • 2 Dornier 228

Incidents

On 15 December 2010 the radio contact was lost to a DHC 6-300 Twin Otter (9N -AFX ) on the way from Lamidanda to Kathmandu ( Nepal ), five minutes after the start, from. The plane crashed on a mountain, where all 22 passengers were killed. As a cause of the crash was called by the investigating authorities a pilot error.
