Tarzan (Musical)

Tarzan is a musical based on the Disney film of the same name and the story by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Phil Collins composed the music and wrote the lyrics to this. Tarzan was premiered on 10 May 2006 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway. It was seen in October 2008 in Hamburg. The soundtrack to the musical reached number 34 in the German album charts. Venue in Hamburg was the Neue Flora. Since November 2013 Tarzan is seen at the Stage Theater in Stuttgart Apollo.

We have so far not used the song Who am I ( Who Am I) from Tarzan 2; the title Leaving Home ( Find My Way ) ( Tarzan 2 ), however, has been specially converted writes the lyrics for the musical version and was therefore under the new name Why, why? (I Need to Know ) is used.

In the third animated Disney movie Tarzan & Jane No tracks occur.

The elephant Tantor, which plays a central role in the film, does not appear in the musical. The baboons, in which Tarzan rescues Jane in the film were replaced by a giant spider. While Terk ( Terkina ) is a female character in the Disney film, the role is a male in the musical.

The first cast of the main characters of Tarzan - Anton Zetterholm - and Jane - Elisabeth Hübert - was conducted from February to May 2008 in the talent show - Me Tarzan, you Jane! selected on Sat.1. The premiere cast took place on 19 October 2008 in Hamburg Neue Flora theater instead.

Anton Zetterholm played Tarzan of 12 October 2008 to 9 May 2010. Starting in May 2010, Alexander Klaws the role of Tarzan and played it for three years until June 2, 2013.
