Tashfin ibn Ali
Tashfin ibn Ali (Arabic تاشفين بن علي, DMG Tāšfīn b ʿ Alī; . † March 23, 1145 ) was ruler of the Almoravids ( 1143-1145 ).
Tashfin ibn Ali was named in 1128 by his father Ali ibn Yusuf ( 1106-1143 ) Governor of Granada. As he proved himself as a capable military leader, his father ordered him ten years later for support against the Almohads back to Marrakech. After the death of Ali ibn Yusuf ibn Ali Tashfin took over the leadership of the Almoravids.
