Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus

The Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus (Japanese立山 トンネル トロリー バス, Tateyama tonneru tororībasu ), officially Tateyma Kurobe Kanko Mukijō Densha -sen (立 山 黒 部 贯 光 无 轨 条 电车 线, German " Tateyama Kurobe Kanko trackless, electric railway line " ) is next to the Kanden Tunnel trolleybus one of today two trolleybus operations in Japan.

The 3.7 km long route in Toyama prefecture runs completely underground. It was opened in 1971 with diesel buses and converted to 23 April 1996 on electrical equipment. The supply voltage is 600 volts DC. Legally, the operation is considered railroad. Operating company is the Tateyama Kurobe Kanko KK (立 山 黒 部 贯 光 株式会社), also cable cars and bus lines - operates and Inns - which together form the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Tateyama Kurobe and designate a mountain and a river or dam of the same name in the transport area of the company. The route is part of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The one way journey takes ten minutes. An early extant branch to Raiden (雷 殿 駅, -eki ) is no longer operated. The route is through lane, halfway is a passing loop available. The top line is also single track except for the passing loop. At the two terminals each is a turning loop available. The operation has a tourist. The eight solo vehicle run from April to November. They carry the establishment numbers 8001-8008 and Bus Corporation, in the years 1995 and 1996, when the electrification of the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and manufactured.
