The tunnel is 8,371 meters long and was expanded to double track from the start. The vertex is at 1226 m above sea level. A. reached. The construction of the tunnel, was technically very demanding. In 1901, we began with the realization of the construction project, which was completed in 1906. The electrification followed in 1925.
