Tauno Luiro

Tauno Johannes Luiro ( born February 24, 1932 in Rovaniemi, † October 29, 1955 ) was a Finnish ski jumper.

Luiro, who started for the Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, jumped on March 2, 1951 139 meters world record in Oberstdorf. This lasted until 1961. 1951 Luiro became the first ski jumper that did not come from Norway and won the jumping at Holmenkollen in Oslo.
