Taye Ismaila Taiwo ( born April 16, 1985 in Lagos) is a Nigerian football player who is under contract with the Turkish first division side Bursaspor.

Career

Association

The left-back began his career in his home at the Lobi Stars in 2003. Soon it became clear that he is a very talented football player. For this reason he moved in January 2005 to Olympique Marseille, there to replace the migrated Bixente Lizarazu. Taiwo worked immediately a regular place in the South of France.

From the season 2011/12 he was at the Italian club AC Milan under contract. However, it came in the first round only to four inserts. On January 24, 2012, he was loaned out for half a year at the Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League. After his return to Milan Taiwo on loan July 31, 2012 with option to purchase for the 2012/13 season at Dynamo Kiev.

For Summer 2013 Taiwo joined in the Turkish Süper Lig Bursaspor to. He signed a three-year contract here.

National

Taiwo was junior national team of Nigeria and reached at the Junior World Championship in 2005 in the Netherlands with the selection of his country, the final, which was lost to Argentina 2-1. Taye Taiwo scored two goals and was - voted third best player of the tournament - after John Obi Mikel and Lionel Messi.

In 2004 he was appointed to the senior national team of Nigeria.
