Teatro Degollado

The Teatro Degollado is the theater building in the city of Guadalajara in the Mexican province of Jalisco. It is located in the city center on the Plaza de la Liberacion and was inaugurated on 13 September 1866, the performance of the opera Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti.

The building is dominated by its neo-classical portico with a triangular pediment and Corinthian columns. The interior paintings by Jacobo Gálvez y Gerardo Suárez from 1861 are seen.

Their repertoire includes both classical and modern pieces.
