Teddy the Rough Rider

Teddy the Rough Rider is an American short film from the year 1940.

Action

The film describes the political career of Theodore Roosevelt, beginning with his position as chief of police in New York, which he entered in 1895. In 1897 he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Navy under President William McKinley.

When the Spanish-American War broke out in 1898, Roosevelt resigned from his ministerial office, and led a cavalry unit, known as the Rough Riders. Pays particular attention to the film on the Battle of San Juan Hill on July 1, 1898. Battle, which was won by the Americans, Roosevelt founded reputation as a war hero.

1900 Roosevelt became vice president of the United States. When William McKinley on September 14, 1901 from injuries that were taught him in an assassination attempt, died, he took over the presidency.
